Magic isn’t just found in the Harry Potter books; it often manifests in a cup of coffee or even a pumpkin pie. Although it sounds very poetic, we mean it literally; Salem Witch Store and Coffee is a café located in the Narvarte neighborhood that, over the years, has become a veritable coven, whether you go there to satisfy your cravings or, quite simply, to break a spell.
La Casa Salem opened its doors 16 years ago; the motivation behind its opening was to create a space for the witches and warlocks of our city.
Amid herbal teas, coffees, and desserts, visitors can feel comfortable discussing witchcraft, magic, and energies. All within an atmosphere that pays homage to mysticism, the esoteric, and the Middle Ages.
What’s on the menu?
The menu offers classic coffee shop fare: ciabatta, molletes, sincronizadas… There are also drinks inspired by famous witches; in fact, there are seasonal specials like pumpkin spice, lavender lemonade, or taro carajillo. To go with them, you’ll find plenty of sweet treats.
Workshops, rituals, readings, and other magical activities
In addition to enjoying your favorite potion, the café is a true epicenter of magic in Mexico City, as it offers a program that includes oracle readings, themed festivals, discussion groups, spell-casting experiences, and even workshops where you can learn from scratch how to cast spells or protect yourself from them.
All events are announced on the establishment’s social media accounts.
