Are you wondering when the exhibition of illuminated figures on Paseo de la Reforma for the Day of the Dead ends? You’ve come to the right place because we’ve got all the details so you don’t miss out.
El Camino is a light installation featuring more than 20 illuminated figures and three tunnels of light between the Angel of Independence and the Puerta de los Leones on Paseo de la Reforma.
As you walk, you’ll see enormous catrinas, cempasúchil flowers, and several xoloitzcuintles—all illuminated by more than 150,000 LED lights. This is the second year they’ve been installed for the Day of the Dead, and you can still go see them.
When does the installation of illuminated figures on Reforma end?
The Mexico City Ministry of Tourism announced via its official social media accounts that this installation will remain on display until Sunday, November 8. You still have this weekend to see it!
In addition, the agency noted that these illuminated figures will be on display from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. It’s an outdoor exhibition. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you’ll be walking for a while to see them all.
Another Day of the Dead installation that will remain longer is the monumental catrina in the Zócalo. It stands over 33 meters tall and will remain on display until November 11, 2026. The rest of the offering has already been removed; however, the catrina will remain for several more days.
