If you love mushrooms in soup, quesadillas, or tamales, you’re surely all set to head to the 2026 Mushroom Festival in Amecameca. It will be a true explosion of flavor and culture taking place in San Pedro Nexapa.
Get ready to welcome the “hongosto,” because on August 1 and 2, you have a must-attend event featuring nature and great food.
This event promises to delight your palate with the finest dishes prepared with wild mushrooms, the undisputed stars of the weekend.
But cuisine isn’t the only thing on the menu; the festival will also feature craft markets, cultural performances, and a bike ride to help you work off your meal. All of this takes place amid the magic and scenery of this town, recognized as a “Pueblo con Encanto” (Charming Town). And best of all, admission is free!
