“One cecina enchilada with potatoes!”… Start practicing, because you’ll be saying this and other similar phrases at the“ ” Cecina Fair, which returns in 2026 to the Magical Town of Atlixco, in Puebla. This culinary event will celebrate its 18th edition with plenty of flavor; it’s undoubtedly a delicious getaway to discover the perfect cecina taquito.
On August 1 and 2, 2026, at the Convention Center, diners will be able to sample the traditional cecina taco, as well as the municipality’s signature dishes, including cecina bone huaxmole, memelas, and Atlixco-style enchiladas. All of this will be prepared by expert hands.
The lineup will be spectacular: there will be 11 cecina vendors and 11 side dish vendors ready to welcome you. In addition to the unparalleled local cuisine, you can enjoy a lively arts festival, explore the crafts area, and toast with a selection of mixed drinks.
The Atlixco Municipal Government reported that it estimates sales of nearly five metric tons of cecina—we recommend you go with a big appetite!
