This year marks the 29th anniversary of this tradition under the slogan “The flavor that unites us.” This year’s event promises to transcend borders and will take place from October 9 to 11.
The official venue for this event will be the Canosas Baseball Field, located on Av. Canosas between Clemátides and Hacienda de las Rosas, in Los Héroes, Coacalco. It’s the perfect opportunity to get together and enjoy this drink that’s part of our daily lives, starting with breakfast.
Drinking atole in this municipality is a time-honored tradition. It’s worth noting that this event has been recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of the State of Mexico since May 2026. This designation was granted in recognition of its historical, gastronomic, social, and community value.
The full program for this year’s event has not yet been announced, but keep in mind that this is a patron saint festival in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, so various religious and cultural activities will take place. In addition to sampling more than a hundred different flavors, the classic and innovative atoles from each edition are awarded prizes based on their flavor, aroma, texture, and consistency.
In 2025, for example, there were tours, a living offering, concerts, and amusement rides. We can’t wait to see everything that’s in store for us this year!
