If you’re looking for a different way to kick off May, the 2026 Children’s Bike Ride is just what you need. This family-friendly event returns to Mexico City for its fourth edition, inviting children to enjoy a safe, fun, and completely free ride.
The event will take place on the esplanade of the Monument to the Revolution, where a 2.8-kilometer circuit will be set up , starting and finishing at the same point. Children of all ages are welcome to participate, provided they are accompanied by an adult.
The best part is that it doesn’t matter what kind of vehicle you use: you can join in on a bicycle, tricycle, roller skates, or even a skateboard. The idea is to have fun as a family while promoting active mobility from an early age.
A safe and organized ride for kids
The ride is organized by the Mexico City Secretariat of Public Safety, so measures will be implemented to ensure the safety of all participants.
A mandatory requirement is that children wear helmets and protective gear throughout the entire ride. Additionally, advance registration is required to participate.
If you register, you can pick up your kit on May 1 at the Subsecretaría de Control de Tránsito, located in the Piedad Narvarte neighborhood. Pickup hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
