Do you remember your most fun moments playing with a yo-yo or making a spinning top dance? The Cartonería Festival will bring back memories of your childhood, as this weekend it will host an edition dedicated to Mexican toys, all of which will be made of cardboard.
This event is organized by the Cartoneros of Mexico City and will take place from September 10 to 13, 2026. Come enjoy their wonderful creations at the Alameda Santa María la Ribera from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The festival will feature an exhibition of monumental pieces that showcase the great talent of their creators.
In addition, there will be a variety of activities, including music, storytelling sessions, puppet shows, and many special guests. The full program will be announced later via the official social media accounts of Cartoneros de la Ciudad de México.
Make the most of these days—invite your friends or bring the kids to support local talent at the Cardboard Toy Festival.
