Dance will take over one of Mexico City’s most iconic cultural venues. From July 7 to 30, the “Dance Season: 80 Movements” will take place at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, a series that will bring together companies and artists from eight states across Mexico with performances spanning various performing arts forms.
For several weeks, the Main Hall will host performances exploring contemporary dance, folklore, flamenco, movement theater, multidisciplinary dance, and expanded dance. The program aims to showcase the diversity of choreographic expressions currently being developed in Mexico.

What performances will be featured in the Dance Season?
The program will kick off on July 7 with *El matiz de lo imperceptible* by 500Lumenes and ASYC El Teatro de Movimiento. Subsequent performances will include *Traslado Permanente* by Aterno, *Latinoamérica es* by the Veracruz University Folk Ballet, and *Noyollo Opus 52* by Danza Visual.
There will also be a highly anticipated Flamenco Gala headlined by Nuria Catalina, Ángel Vázquez, and Mario Ruiz, as well as the piece *¿Qué puede un cuerpo?* by the Cuatro X Cuatro company.

The season’s finale will feature *RESET. Anthropology of the Self* by LY Dance Project, *Corazón de México* by the University of Guadalajara’s Folkloric Ballet, *Entre tiempos | Choreographic Anthology* by the Center for Contemporary Dance Production (Ceprodac), and *AMANECER. Does the Dawn Have a Serpent? * by La Serpiente Dance Company.
Thanks to the variety of styles and approaches, this season promises to be an opportunity to experience both experimental works and performances inspired by the country’s cultural traditions. Furthermore, affordable ticket prices allow audiences to enjoy some of the most prominent companies on the national dance scene without leaving Mexico City.
