Twenty-five years ago, Amores Perros changed Mexican cinema forever. Now, the film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu will be celebrated in a very special event at the Cineteca Chapultepec with the official presentation of the film’s commemorative book.
The event will bring together the Mexican director, writer Wendy Guerra, and visual artist Fernando Llanos for a discussion in which they will share insights into the cultural and creative impact of one of the most important films in contemporary Mexican cinema.
In addition to the conversation, attendees will be able to watch clips from the Amores Perros making-of, as well as explore some of the material included in this new publication dedicated to the film’s 25th anniversary.
The Amores Perros book brings together unpublished archives and behind-the-scenes material
The commemorative publication includes stills from the film, handwritten notes, documents from the creative process, and behind-the-scenes materials that show how this story—which left its mark on an entire generation—was crafted.
Since its release in 2000, Amores Perros has become an international benchmark for Mexican cinema and cemented Iñárritu’s career as one of the most important directors in the film industry today.
This presentation will be a unique opportunity for film fans, students, and anyone curious to learn more about the making of this film, which remains a topic of conversation decades later.
