Let’s kick off the month of July with plenty of traditional sweets and free concerts! This Friday, July 3, the 2026 Amaranth Fair in Mexico City will open. It will be held at the Monument to the Revolution. Admission is free.
Amaranth is an iconic food in Mexico. It’s used to make various traditional dishes and sweets, such as alegrías, cookies, and much more. At this food fair, you’ll get to try different products made with this ingredient. There will be something for everyone and every taste.
When will the 2026 Amaranth Fair take place in Mexico City?
Mark your calendars because the event will only last three days. It will take place from July 3 to 5 at the Monument to the Revolution ( Plaza de la República S/N, Tabacalera neighborhood). Admission will be free. In addition to many products made with amaranth, you’ll find a variety of activities at this food fair.
There will be panel discussions, an open forum, theater performances, and plenty of music. On Friday, July 3, there will be a mariachi performance at 3:00 p.m.; while at 5:00 p.m., Las Meninas de Luis Huitrón will take the stage.
On Saturday, July 4, there will also be a mariachi performance at 3:00 p.m., followed by a performance by Eugenia León at 5:00 p.m. You can visit the event from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, as well as on Sunday, July 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Here’s the full schedule so you don’t miss a thing.
