From February 5 to 8, 2026, Feria Material will celebrate its 12th edition with a new venue at Maravilla Studios, a large-scale space located in the Atlampa neighborhood.
This change marks a turning point for one of the city’s most important contemporary art fairs, just as Mexico City Art Week becomes increasingly intense and diverse.
After three successful editions at Expo Reforma and after welcoming more than 18,000 visitors in 2025, the fair is committed to a more open and expansive format.
Maravilla Studios will allow the fair to be redistributed across five exhibition halls, improving the visitor experience and the ways in which art can be approached and acquired.
The 2026 edition will bring together 78 exhibitors from 21 countries and 38 cities, with a strong Latin American presence: more than half of the participating galleries come from the region, reaffirming Material’s commitment to the visibility of art produced in Latin America and its international dialogue.
Performances, tours, and talks during Art Week
The public program is once again one of the main attractions. The week will kick off with Material Monday on February 2, a free circuit of openings in more than 15 galleries throughout the city, with transportation included and a festive closing party in the Doctores neighborhood.
In addition, the IMMATERIAL performance program, curated by Michelangelo Miccolis, will arrive at Casa del Lago UNAM with two unmissable presentations: the Latin American premiere of MOOD RING (temor teflon) by Ivan Cheng and an activation by Adriana Lara with Jessy Bulbo.
The fair will also feature VOCAL, a series of talks between collectors and managers that seeks to open up the conversation about collecting in Mexico, as well as the presentation of the third generation of the Proyectos program, focused on promoting independent curatorial spaces in the country.
With a new venue, larger scale, and a robust agenda, Feria Material 2026 is shaping up to be one of the central hubs of contemporary art in Mexico City next February.
