Are you going to miss the celebration? This weekend there will be a festival for the anniversary of Bosque de Aragón. During two days there will be different free activities, including the presentation of a mariachi and sonidero mosaic.
This Mexico City forest turns 61 years old and will celebrate it in a big way with a cultural and recreational festival this November 22 and 23. Both days there will be workshops, tours of the place, storytelling and even bird watching. And that’s not all! Take a look at all the details.
Music and more at Bosque de Aragón’s anniversary festival
During the two days there will be lots of music and various activities starting at 9:00 am. For example, on Saturday, November 22 there will be an exhibition of motorcycle acrobatics by the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana.
That same day you will see the Folkloric Ballet of the Futurama Cultural Center. In addition, there will be a performance by Mosaico Sonidero and a Sinaloan band. On Sunday there will be an orchestra and a mariachi band. Remember that all activities are free of charge.
According to information from the Secretariat of the Environment (Sedema) this forest opened its doors for the first time on November 20, 1964. Join the celebration and don’t forget to invite the children, as there will also be several activities for them.
