Run for your calendar because during March 2025 there will be a film series at the Casa Azul. The theme will be “Women in Film”, so films by contemporary Frida Kahlo filmmakers will be screened. Access is free, but prior registration is required. Don’t worry about anything because we bring you all the details.
The Cinema Azul event will be held on Thursdays in March, starting this 13th. The best thing is that all screenings will be at 8:00 pm, so you have a chance to jump in after work. It’s a great way to close the day, isn’t it?
Dates of the film series at Casa Azul
As detailed through social networks, there will be three screenings during March:
- Thursday, March 13 – La negra Angustias, by Matilde Landeta (Mexico, 1950).
- Thursday, March 20 – Meshes of the Afternoon, by Maya Deren (United States, 1943) and La coquille et le clergyman, by Germaine Dulac (France, 1928).
- Thursday, March 27 – The Bigamist, by Ida Lupino (United States, 1953)
The screenings will take place at the Frida Kahlo Museum, Casa Azul ( Londres 247, colonia Del Carmen, alcaldía Coyoacán), one of the most emblematic and popular venues in Mexico City. Space is limited so you must register in advance on the museum’s website. There you can choose the show you want to attend, enter your name, email and that’s it. Run before they run out of places.
