Casa Talavera has just opened its doors in Roma Norte and is already emerging as one of Mexico City’s most striking boutique hotels. Its concept combines contemporary architecture, signature design, and deep inspiration drawn from the tradition of Puebla’s Talavera pottery, making it a new must-see destination for those who enjoy discovering unique spaces in the capital.
Located at Colima 211, this hotel was designed by Alejandro Gleason in collaboration with HH Arquitectura. At first glance, it stands out for its facade entirely clad in handcrafted Talavera, a detail that sets it apart among the streets of one of Mexico City’s most iconic neighborhoods.
A boutique hotel that celebrates Mexican craftsmanship
The experience continues inside Casa Talavera, where every corner pays homage to artisanal craftsmanship. Guest rooms, common areas, light fixtures, tableware, planters, and various decorative elements all feature pieces crafted by artisans from Uriarte Talavera, considered Mexico’s oldest and most renowned Talavera workshop.
The hotel has only 13 rooms, allowing it to offer a more intimate and personalized stay. It also features a panoramic rooftop designed for breakfast and special experiences with views of the city.
Another of its attractions is Talavera Bistró, a dining space inspired by the traditional flavors of Puebla, which complements the hotel’s design and hospitality concept.
Much more than just a place to stay
Casa Talavera will also focus on experiences that bring its guests closer to Mexican art, cuisine, and culture. The goal is for every stay to offer a more authentic perspective on the city, blending contemporary luxury with artisanal traditions.
The hotel will be operated by Grupo Hotelero Tasman, a company specializing in hospitality and personalized service, with the goal of offering a high-end experience for both domestic and international travelers.
