Day of the Dead is almost here and, without a doubt, one of the most anticipated events in CDMX is the parade, in which you will see floats, catrinas and lots of music.
When is the Day of the Dead 2025 parade in CDMX?

According to Clara Brugada, head of government of Mexico City, the Day of the Dead parade will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025. It will begin at 2:00 p.m. sharp.
As in previous years, the parade will leave from the Puerta de los Leones in Chapultepec and arrive at Mexico City’s Zócalo. It will pass through emblematic areas such as Paseo de la Reforma and the surroundings of El Caballito until it reaches the Zócalo.
At a press conference it was announced that more than 5 thousand people will participate in different contingents. In addition, during the tour we will see Amandititita and El Haragán; in fact, there will be a tribute to Rockdrigo.
According to a call from Faro Aragón, this year’s theme will be “The art of drag and wrestling”. The event will be on the weekend so forget about everything and take a walk to see this parade. Of course, here are some recommendations.
- Wear comfortable shoes, you will be standing for a long time.
- Don’t forget to bring a hat or cap to protect you from the sun, as well as a raincoat in case it rains (remember that the rainy season ends in November).
- Arrive early: the parade is very crowded, so we recommend you arrive early to get a good spot.
- Check in advance your way to and from the parade because Metrobus stations are usually closed or the route of the service is modified. In addition, there are road closures during the event.
