When will the 2026 Chiles en Nogada Festival in Mexico City’s Historic Center take place?
The festival will last practically the entire month of September, so you’ll have plenty of time to attend. It will begin on September 3 and end on September 26, according to a press release from the Historic Center Authority.
The list of restaurants and businesses participating this year will be announced this Thursday, September 3, during the event’s opening ceremony. The kickoff will take place in the courtyard of the Claustro de Sor Juana, in the Historic Center.
The idea behind the event is “to strengthen economic activity and highlight the cultural and gastronomic richness of this area of Mexico City,” as explained in the document. Take advantage of the weekend to be among the first to attend.
And while you’re in the area, be sure to stop by the Zócalo to check out the decorations for the national holidays. They haven’t been lit up yet, but you can already see the huge, colorful mosaics that were installed to commemorate these celebrations.
