Stop everything! One of the most beloved classical ballets is coming back to Mexico City. After more than 12 years without being staged in this format, Cinderella will return to the Palacio de Bellas Artes with a large-scale production led by the National Dance Company.
The show will feature music by Sergei Prokofiev, choreography by Ben Stevenson, and more than 70 dancers on stage. The best part? One of the big surprises is that the performances will feature a live orchestra—something that hasn’t happened in this production for over a decade.
The story will revisit CharlesPerrault’s classic tale with a production full of elegant costumes, theatrical sets, and some of the most iconic moments of traditional ballet.
From the famous royal ball to the slipper scene, this production promises to be one of the must-see cultural events of the summer in Mexico City.
