1. Mozart at Tlaqná Cultural Center
And not just any Mozart work, but his majestic Don Giovanni. A story full of passion, morality and divine justice that comes to the Tlaqná Centro Cultural by the hand of the Xalapa Symphony Orch estra under the baton of Martin Lebel. An emblematic opera with a staging that will cover the stage with music and drama for approximately two hours and fifty minutes.

2. Rossini at the Museum of Anthropology
Under the name “Albores del Bel canto”, the Museum of Anthropology hosts a unique concert where singer Guillermo Ruiz and pianist Héctor Cruz will offer a wide repertoire formed by great composers, from Rossini to Mozart, Vivaldi or Scarlatti. It will take place in the Jaime Torres Bodet auditorium (inside the museum) and access is free. However, seating is limited to 360 people, so we recommend arriving early to make sure you get in!

3. Vivaldi at El Cantoral with Candlelight
For lovers of classical music in an original atmosphere, Candlelight is your choice. In addition to its program of contemporary artists, the concert series offers several concerts that pay tribute to the eternal Italian composer. A magical opportunity to listen to Vivaldi’ s timeless Four Seasons under the light of thousands of candles at the emblematic Roberto Cantoral Cultural Center, accompanied by a professional string quartet.

4. Wagner at the Jardín Escénico
The Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra organizes this concert as part of its “Encuentros” program, where different spaces of the city are filled with the sound of timeless music. In this case, the chosen ones are Peter Warlock, Richard Wagner, Charles Ives and Anton Bruckner, whose works(Suite Capriol, Siegfried Idyll, The Unanswered Question and Andante for strings) will be played at the Jardín Escénico for almost an hour. All conducted by Arturo Rebolledo, and free. Could it get any better? We doubt it.

5. Mendelssohn at the National Museum of Art.
The National Museum of Art offers a wide variety of free concerts, and this one dedicated to works by timeless composers such as Mozart and Mendelssohn is no exception. A program full of classics will be performed by the talented Trio Siqueiros, formed by Juanmanuel Flores (violin), Ana Karen Rodríguez (cello) and Noé Macías (piano). Although admission is free, space is limited to 100 people, who will receive an access control ticket upon arrival.

6. Ginastera at the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center.
The Silvestre Revueltas Hall of the Ollin Yoliztli Cultural Center is covered with the unmistakable sound of the melodies of Mozart, Louise Farrenc and Alberto Ginastera. And not just any old way, but with the prestigious sound of two soloists from the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra: Pawel Sliwinski (violin) and Fernando Vizcayno (violin), both conducted by Laura Cmet. An authentic experience for the senses that will take place on two different days and where you can listen to compositions such as the Concertone in C major, K 190.

7. Berio at the Palace of Fine Arts
A first class concert on a first class stage. And it could not be otherwise. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Italian composer Luciano Berio, the National Opera Company will perform for the first time in Mexico and Latin America Un re in ascolto, composed from a short story by Italo Calvino. A true milestone that will take place in the Main Hall of the Palace of Fine Arts for approximately 90 minutes without intermission.

8. Mahler at the National Center for the Arts
Led by conductor Rodrigo Macías, the renowned Symphony Orchestra of the State of Mexico (OSEM) will perform two of the most famous works in the history of music: Symphony No. 6, “Tragic” by Gustav Mahler; and the Bolero by Maurice Ravel. A monumental repertoire that can be experienced free of charge at the Blas Galindo Auditorium of the Centro Nacional de las Artes (CENART).

9. Schumann at the University Cultural Center
In its Carlos Chávez Hall and with a program worthy of the best playlist. New Zealand violinist Amalia Hall accompanied by Mexican pianist Fernando Saint Martin will add talent and feeling to a great repertoire where you can listen to pieces such as the Sonata for violin and piano in A major by César Franck, Tzigane M.76 by Maurice Ravel or Three romanzas for violin and piano Op. 22 by Clara Schumann. Renowned performers and renowned composers will join forces for 65 minutes at the Centro Cultural Universitario.

10. Ravel at the Palace of Fine Arts
Under the artistic direction of Luis Manuel Sánchez and Fernando Correa on percussion, this concert is part of the “Encuentros” program organized by the Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra. And, in this case, percussion is the protagonist in a program consisting of works by Béla Bartók, Armand Russell and Maurice Ravel. A concert with intermission full of rhythm and emotion that will last (approximately) almost an hour and that can be experienced in the Manuel M. Ponce Hall of the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
