Scissors, old magazines, and snacks at Club Collage in Mexico City
Founded in 2021 by Raquel Selvas, Club Collage began as a traveling project. Today it has a permanent location in Roma Norte under a straightforward philosophy: “collage is a tool for embracing error.” At their work tables, participants cut out old publications to assemble compositions from scratch.
The available archive goes far beyond vintage magazines. Risograph offcuts, encyclopedias, and more are used. The techniques explore the mixing of textures, allowing participants to create self-portraits, experiment with textile formats, or build three-dimensional scenes inside small containers. You can even customize vinyl records and books.
The entire hands-on process unfolds at your own pace, while you enjoy a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a snack.

The schedule changes every month to feature different visual artists. Highlights include Artist Wednesdays, sessions where national and international guests share their secrets.
To reserve a spot in any of the sessions, you must send a direct message to their Instagram account @clubcollagemx. The sessions take place at Mérida 216, Roma Norte, Cuauhtémoc District.
