If you can’t start your morning with a cup of coffee, this gastronomic event is for you. It is the Coffee and Chocolate Fest, a meeting where you will taste a lot of recipes made with these ingredients. Admission is free.
It will be held on June 14 and 15 at the Palacio de la Autonomía UNAM in the Historic Center. Exhibitors from states such as Veracruz, Chiapas, Oaxaca, Puebla, Guerrero and Tabasco will gather here, so you will taste a little bit of their gastronomic culture.
There will be all kinds of products: table chocolate, truffles, swarms, chocolates with exotic fillings and chocolate boards with maguey worms or grasshoppers. To drink there will be preparations such as cocoa foam, pozol, tascalate and barranca water, have you tried it?
The festival will have activities related to coffee and chocolate
In addition to the bazaar, you will find different activities such as coffee tastings, where you will discover the differences between commercial and specialty coffees. There will also be a thrill show and storytelling.
One of the favorite activities is the cocoa ceremony that combines a cocoa tasting with a ritual of songs, sounds and aromas.
But if you like to eat delicious food, you will enjoy different delicacies! Mole cakes, cod and cochinita pibil are just some of the options on the menu.
