Those who love anime, coffee and good music will not want to miss this place. Mugen is a new coffee shop in CDMX that concentrates a large collection of anime vinyls; the tornamesa lights up with openings of your favorite series such as Evangelion, Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon, among others. 🎶
Best of all, some of the discs are on sale and you’ll find copies starting at $250. There are other acetates that, although not for sale, you will be able to listen to them. And there is a console that has the legendary PAC-MAN ghosts on it. All you have to do is select the one that most catches your attention.
Now, if you have a vinyl collection, you can take the one you like the most and they will play it here. The idea is to create a community around anime and music. We recommend you to keep an eye on Mugen’s social networks to know about new meetings.
Besides anime vinyls, what else is at this coffee shop
First you should know that at Mugen there is specialty coffee originating from Veracruz, which is prepared in different ways (filtered, lattes, etc). In addition, you will find different aroma and flavor profiles. To accompany: French bread, bagels, among other specialties; we recommend ordering the Popeye bagel.
Now, if you’re in the mood to relax, you’ll surely want to try the carajillo, the gin tonic or the rum combined with cold brew. ☕ Keep in mind that the average check per person is $180. 💵
Mugen is a place to go with time
No matter if you don’t know anything about anime, vinyl or coffee, it’s a joy to know this coffee shop! Founded by Emilio Acosta and Jesús Mayorga, this place will fill you with good vibes and a desire to learn more about manga, Japanese culture or music.
