This museum is in high spirits as it turns 62 in 2026. To celebrate in style, there will be a concert featuring the Mexico City Symphony Orchestra performing works by great composers.
You’ll hear live performances of pieces by Mozart, Beethoven, Hans Zimmer, Agustín Lara, and Consuelo Velázquez. In fact, this will be a double celebration, as it will also mark the 110th anniversary of the UNAM School of Chemistry.

Be sure to bring a jacket and warm clothes, as the event will take place in the evening. The event is scheduled for Thursday, September 24, at 7:00 p.m. on the museum’s esplanade, located at Museo 150, San Pablo Tepetlapa, Coyoacán.
The full program has not yet been announced; however, it has been revealed that pieces such as “Bésame mucho” by Consuelo Velázquez and “Veracruz” by Agustín Lara will be performed.
