The day has arrived! This Sunday, September 28, the Orquesta Monumental Metropolitana will give a concert in Mexico City’s Zócalo, where they will perform a wide variety of songs, including songs by La Maldita Vecindad, Ángeles Azules and even a song by Coldplay and another by Beethoven.
A press release from the Ministry of Culture stated that the concert program is designed for a varied audience. Attendees will enjoy danzones, cumbias and even classical pieces. Access to the event will be free of charge.
It is worth mentioning that this concert was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 27; however, the date was changed, according to the Ministry of Culture.
What time will the Monumental Orchestra concert be at the Zócalo?

If you are looking for an afternoon full of music, set aside Sunday, September 28. This concert, which seeks to pay tribute to Mexican composers and new talents, will begin at 12:00 noon.
According to the agency, among the songs that the orchestra has rehearsed for this concert are “Vive la vida”, by Coldplay; “Kumbala”, by La Maldita Vecindad; “Nunca es suficiente”, by Natalia Lafourcade with Los Ángeles Azules and Beethoven’s “Himno a la Alegría”, among others.
