The Mexico City Traditional Orchestra will turn Chapultepec Castle into the perfect setting for a concert that will remain in your memory forever. The show is called “El México de sus compositores” (The Mexico of its Composers) and celebrates the works that enrich our musical culture.
Directed by Rodrigo Díaz Bueno and Noel Josafat García Melo, this presentation will introduce us to legendary composers such as Manuel Beristáin, Agustín Lara, Nubia Jaime, Tata Nacho, Arturo Márquez, Miguel Lerdo de Tejada, and José Pablo Moncayo.
You probably know them! Or at least you’ve heard some of their most famous works, such as Huapango by José Pablo Moncayo, La borrachita by Tata Nacho, and María Bonita, a piece composed by Agustín Lara especially for María Félix.
The setting couldn’t be more sublime: the courtyard of the Alcázar, with its landscaped terraces and iconic corridors once walked by emperors and presidents, will become a historical sounding board. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the neoclassical architecture of the venue, where the echoes of the past merge with the soul of Mexican music.
When will the Orquesta Típica concert be held at Chapultepec Castle?

The event is this Sunday, February 22, at 12:00 p.m. Admission is free, so you won’t have to worry about spending all your money halfway through the month. Invite your favorite people!
However, we recommend that you arrive early to ensure smooth entry.
The experience of enjoying Mexican songs with a live orchestra, in one of the most important venues in the country, is something you don’t get to experience every day. Don’t miss it this weekend!
