It’s time to treat your taste buds! The 2026 Torta Fair is just around the corner in Mexico City, and it’ll feature plenty of music and must-try dishes. Organizers are even aiming to break the record for the world’s largest torta. It will measure 100 meters!
This food festival has been held every year in the Venustiano Carranza district since 2004. As the name suggests, the event features all kinds of tortas, such as Cuban, Hawaiian, ham, milanesa, and even ostrich and wild boar.
The price of each sandwich will start at $50. The most expensive sandwiches will be the exotic ones. At a press conference, it was announced that there will be exhibitors from different states across the country, such as Veracruz, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Jalisco, the State of Mexico, and Michoacán.
International guests include representatives from Cuba, Colombia, Uruguay, Argentina, and Spain, among others. You’ll enjoy both Mexican dishes and cuisine from other countries.
When is the 2026 Sandwich Fair in Mexico City?
You can visit Torta Fest from July 29 to August 2 on the esplanade of the Venustiano Carranza City Hall (Francisco del Paso and Troncoso 219, Jardín Balbuena neighborhood). Admission is free.
This year marks the 21st edition of the event, and, as in previous years, organizers will aim to break a Guinness World Record. For 2026, the goal is to prepare a 100-meter-long torta.
And that’s not all; there will also be plenty of music. Among the singers performing are Los Askis, Yaguaru, Natalia Jiménez, and Aarón y su Grupo Ilusión. You’ll also see a Michael Jackson impersonator (Víctor Jackson) and Jaime Varela, a Juan Gabriel impersonator.
