Do you have a trip coming up? A particularly busy season for finding cheap flights in 2026 is approaching, as October, November, and December coincide with various promotional campaigns during which airlines typically launch special offers.
That said, this doesn’t mean that all flights will be discounted or that you’ll necessarily find the lowest price of the year. Promotions, participating routes, and terms and conditions will vary by airline.
What you can do, though, is mark the following dates on your calendar to compare prices.
Hot Travel and Buen Fin Come First
The first date you should keep on your radar is Hot Travel. Volaris is already announcing its campaign for October 3–7, 2026, although the Mexican Online Sales Association (AMVO) has not yet published the general dates for the next edition on its Hot Travel webpage.
Next up is El Buen Fin 2026, which will officially take place from November 13 to 17. In addition to stores and services, various airlines usually participate with promotions for travel both within and outside of Mexico.
Aeroméxico and Volaris, for example, already have pages dedicated to their Buen Fin 2026 promotions.
Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Travel Tuesday
November will wrap up with two more dates to keep an eye on. Black Friday will be on Friday, November 27, while Cyber Monday will fall on Monday, November 30, 2026.
And there’s another date particularly related to travel: Travel Tuesday. This event will take place on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, and some airlines are already including it in their promotional calendars.
For example, Air Europa already has a page for Mexico dedicated to Travel Tuesday 2026 and lists December 1 as the campaign date.
So, if you’re planning to travel soon, you can mark these five dates on your calendar and compare fares before and during each campaign. Remember to check for included baggage, taxes, restrictions, and terms and conditions before booking.
