Go organize your next visit to Puebla! From October 3 to November 2, Catrinia, a Day of the Dead parade will be held in Atlixco. You will be able to see it mainly on weekends; each day there will be two to four parades.
Day of the Dead is one of the most important festivities in Mexico, which is why every year there are countless activities in every corner of the country. In the case of Puebla, two events that will interest you have already been announced: the Valley of the Catrinas, where you will see giant catrinas, and Catrinia, a parade focused on this holiday.
When will Catrinia, the Day of the Dead parade in Puebla, take place?

The event will last a month: October 3 to November 2 and will be held mainly from Friday to Sunday; except from October 28 to November 2, when there will be performances almost all week.
According to its official website, in this parade you will see catrinas, alebrijes, floats and more. You’ll even take a tour through the memories of a senior citizen.
And that’s not all. Catrinia will also have a rotating tunnel inspired by the trip to Mictlán, as well as a free access walk where you will see illuminated figures of catrinas.
Of course there will be plenty of food; you will see a gastronomic area where you can buy themed dishes, chocolate and pan de muerto. Now, how much does the ticket for Catrinia cost? There are three types of tickets:
- $800 – includes access to the Túnel Micltán, skip-the-line access and front zone in the parade.
- 600 – numbered zone and access to the Mictlán Tunnel
- $400 – general area for the parade
Tickets are now on sale online. Remember that each parade will be held at a different time. Catrinia will be held at the Convention Center in Atlixco, Puebla.
