Craving paella, serrano ham, and a glass of wine? For two weeks, you can create your own tour of Spanish flavors without leaving Mexico City. Eat Spain Drink Spain Mexico 2026 has already begun and will feature special menus, wine pairings, tastings, and other culinary experiences through October 4.
This is the second edition of this event in Mexico, and its format differs from that of a traditional festival: there is no single venue. Restaurants, gourmet shops, and other culinary venues serve as various locations where visitors can sample Spanish products and recipes. In Mexico City, more than 35 establishments are participating across the different categories.
There are 29 participating restaurants in Mexico City
The list includes Gaudir, Castizo Condesa, El Trujal, Ekilore, VEGA, Catorze, Ajoblanco, Socarrat, Puerto Getaria, and Zagala, as well as various locations of Bulla, Mallorca, Zeru, La Mallorquina, and El Sella. Blanco Castelar and Blanco Colima are also participating, among other restaurants.
Each venue will offer a different menu, so it’s a good idea to check the promotion details before visiting any of the participating establishments on the list. For example, Zeru San Ángel has prepared a selection that includes baby squid in their own ink for $440, Galician-style octopus for $460, Madrid-style tripe for $385, and country-style paella for $435; each dish comes with a recommended wine pairing.
Mallorca Reforma, for its part, offers options starting with breakfast: mimosas, fried eggs with serrano ham, and pastries. For lunch or dinner, it offers wine, montaditos, and a strawberry and mascarpone dessert.
It won’t all be restaurants
Eat Spain Drink Spain also extends to shops and culinary venues, with activities ranging from tastings and promotions to pairing dinners, culinary tours, and workshops. The goal is to showcase both traditional recipes and contemporary creations, as well as products from different regions of Spain.
The campaign is part of Spain Food Nation and is organized by Foods & Wines from Spain and Alimentos de España, through the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Mexico.
