It’s getting closer and closer to see the traditional alebrijes monumental exhibition in Reforma! It will be made up of huge and colorful pieces. Get ready to take lots of pictures.
The Museo de Arte Popular (MAP) has already launched the call for its monumental alebrijes contest, which this year will celebrate its 17th edition. The event is divided in two: first a parade that goes from the Zócalo to Paseo de la Reforma and then an outdoor exhibition with the participating pieces.
The parade will take place next Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 12:00 noon. If you can’t make it or you have other plans, you don’t have to worry, because there is a chance to see the alebrijes afterwards. Take note of all the details.
When will the alebrijes exhibition be on Paseo de la Reforma?
According to the announcement published by this Mexico City museum, the exhibition will be installed once the parade is over. You will be able to visit it from 8:00 p.m. on October 18 until November 9.
It will be placed between the Angel of Independence and the Estela de Luz, on Paseo de la Reforma. The best part is that you will be able to see it 24 hours a day. You will take amazing pictures with the marigold flowers in the background.
The main feature of this exhibition is that the alebrijes that make it up are about two meters tall. You can even take pictures with them.
