During the Day of the Dead season there will be plenty of activities in Mexico City, such as the immersive experience A Journey to the Mictlan, which will take you through the nine levels of the Mexica underworld.
It is a tour full of lights, art and technology, which will have spots to take amazing pictures. It will take you about an hour to go through the whole experience, so we recommend you to wear comfortable shoes. The best thing is that you don’t have to wait until November, as it will open on September 29, 2025.
Where will the experience A Journey to Mictlan 2025 be in CDMX?

Throughout this experience you will find immersive rooms, as well as huge projections. It will be located in Plaza Metrópoli Patriotismo (Patriotismo 229, San Pedro de los Pinos, Benito Juárez).
According to its official website, you can visit it from September 26 to November 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:04 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 11:00 a.m. to 8:04 p.m. on weekends.
The cost of the tickets is $390. There will also be a night tour which will cost $450. According to a press release, this year 2025 there will be new rooms and many more surprises, so save the date.
Although it is not totally attached to the Mictlan, the experience is inspired by Mexica mythology. They will tell you all about the journey of a soul after it dies.
