Can you imagine being able to observe some of the farthest corners of the cosmos without leaving Mexico City? This September, a new exhibition will arrive at the Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium that will turn our gaze toward space and the incredible technology that has allowed us to explore it.
The exhibition is titled “Eyes on the Universe: Images fromSpace Telescopes,” an exhibition organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York that will open on September 22, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.
The event will take place at the Ecosenda Politécnica of the Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium, located at Av. Wilfrido Massieu 394, in northern Mexico City. The admission fee has yet to be confirmed.
What will you find at this exhibition at the Luis Enrique Erro Planetarium?
What will you see? Well, the star of the show will be none other than the universe itself, as seen through space telescopes. The exhibition will feature images that allow visitors to get a visual close-up of parts of the cosmos that would otherwise be impossible to observe with the naked eye.
The exhibition also aims to demonstrate how technological advances have expanded our ability to explore and study increasingly distant regions of the universe.
Behind the exhibition is the American Museum of Natural History in New York, an institution dedicated to scientific research and outreach. So, if astronomy, space, or photography of the cosmos pique your curiosity, it will be well worth your while to check out this exhibition.
