The pieces you will see were created by Toledo and Arvil Gallery. At the beginning of your tour you will see the work “Burrito en Pelota”. It is worth mentioning that the pieces are several years old; one of the graphic folders dates from 1974. In addition, you will see the piece “Toledo-Chilam Balam” from 1975, for example.
Of course you will also see original engravings by Toledo, as well as, self-portraits and two portraits that are exhibited for the first time. You will find many surprises.
Now if you want to delve deeper into Toledo’s creative process, you will be happy to know that you will be able to see a projection of the artist in a special room. You can see him explaining the techniques he used throughout his artistic career.
This exhibition has already opened its doors. It will be on display until April 21. Visit it at the Museo del Estanquillo (Isabel la Católica 26, Historic Center of Mexico City).
