This year we will be able to see an exhibition on Japan at the Franz Mayer Museum! The exhibition will take a journey through Japanese legends, creatures and myths.
This Monday, January 27, all the exhibitions that will be on display at the Franz Mayer Museum during 2025 were presented. One of them will be “Japan: from myth to manga”, which will arrive during the month of August.
All that is known about the exhibition on Japan at the Franz Mayer Museum
As detailed in a press conference, in this exhibition you will learn more about Japanese culture. Among everything you will see are toys, clothes, manga, origami and much more. The best part is that there will be pieces that you will be able to interact with.
It will focus on how Japanese legends and myths have influenced culture around the world; it will even show how this influence has influenced movies and video games. In fact, some areas of the exhibition will fill you with nostalgia, as you will remember the anime you used to watch in your childhood, as well as the technological items you used to play with.
It is worth mentioning that this exhibition will arrive in collaboration with the Victoria & Albert Museum, being the first time that an exhibition of this museum is presented in Mexico. The exact date of this exhibition has not yet been announced, but it is anticipated that we will see it during August at the Franz Mayer (Hidalgo Avenue 45, Historic Center of Mexico City).
