The Symphonic Band and the Choir of Mexico City will collaborate in an exceptional way in this show whose repertoire is designed for all tastes. When will the “Ciudad Viva” concert be at Utopia Ixtapalcalli?
The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the capital city on two different dates: the first was on November 16 at the Parque del Mestizaje, and the next (and last) date will take place this Sunday, November 23 at 1:00 pm at Utopia Ixtapalcalli.
With the aim of bringing music to all audiences, the concert is free admission, and its program includes classical works such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony or the Chorus of the Slaves from Verdi’s opera Nabucco. In addition to national pieces such as Huapango by José Pablo Moncayo or a tribute to Pedro Infante.
How to get to Utopia Ixtapalcalli
Located in the Barrio de San Pablo in Iztapalapa, the easiest way to get to Utopia Ixtapalcalli by public transportation is using the metro line 8, getting off at the Iztapalapa station, which is only two blocks away.
