Let’s go skating! As part of the Christmas 2024 activities, 16 free ice rinks will be installed in the CDMX. Each one will be placed in a different city hall. We bring you the locations of all of them so you can take the plunge.
In addition to skating on these ice rinks, you will have the opportunity to enjoy concerts and skating exhibitions. It is worth mentioning that you don’t need to be an expert skater to enjoy these spaces.
Where will there be free ice rinks in CDMX?
In total there will be 16 rinks, one in each municipality. As reported at a press conference, they will be in:
- Álvaro Obregón: the ice rink will be in Parque Japón.
- Azcapotzalco: Tezozómoc Park
- Benito Juárez: Las Américas Park
- Cuauhtémoc: Lázaro Cárdenas Park
- Cuajimalpa: Morelos Sports Center
- Coyoacán: El Parián Pillars
- Gustavo A. Madero: Carmen Serdán Sports Complex
- Iztacalco: Magdalena Mixhuca Sports Complex (Gate 9)
- Iztapalapa: Utopia Meyehualco
- Magdalena Contreras: Lienzo Charro San Nicolás
- Miguel Hidalgo: Alameda de Tacubaya
- Milpa Alta: Tecómitl Popular Sports Complex
- Tláhuac: Musicians Park
- Tlalpan: Independencia Sports Complex
- Venustiano Carranza: Eduardo Molina Sports Complex
- Xochimilco: Xochimilco Sports Center
It is worth mentioning that there are municipalities that, in addition to these, will have other ice rinks. For example, Iztapalapa will install one in the Macroplaza, while Gustavo A. Madero has one in the esplanade of the district along with a Christmas village.
All rinks are free of charge. Go skate and celebrate the end of the year season in a big way.
