The city hides wonderful corners that show us how nature is an art in the middle of the buildings of the capital, like the Hondonada Garden in Los Pinos, a new space with monumental figures of tender forest animals and more incredible details that invite you to spend a relaxing time in the natural world.
This magnificent place could become your new favorite spot to disconnect, relax and let yourself be carried away by the magic of every corner.
What is the Hondonada Garden and where can you find it?
The new Hondonada Garden is located in the Los Pinos Cultural Complex, in the Chapultepec Forest, next to the Miguel Alemán House, from 10:00 to 17:00, and you can visit it to read in the middle of nature, close your eyes and rest for a while among the trees or stroll in a beautiful green setting.
Besides being a relaxing place, it is a space that combines art and nature in one place. It has three huge sculptures of some important species of the Chapultepec Forest: a squirrel, a cacomixtle and a tlacuache; all of them are made with recycled materials.
The artistic monumental figures seek to express the importance of the care and preservation of the animals that inhabit one of the most important natural areas of the CDMX.
It also has rest terraces and two water mirrors that capture the rain and motivate visitors to forget the stress, slow down and contemplate the space.
The Jardín Hondonada in Los Pinos could be a great idea for a leisurely walk, connect with the nature of the city and take pictures next to its large sculptures that expose art in the middle of the forest.
