To celebrate Children’s Day 2026, the Xochimilco mayor’s office is pulling out all the stops with a parade of giant balloons; it will be a true spectacle of floating figures that will fill this special day with color.
If you’re on the hunt for free events, take note! This is sure to become the go-to activity to surprise the kids in southern Mexico City.
Important! Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunscreen to join this tour, which will start at the Nativitas gas station and head toward Deportivo Xochimilco. The meeting time is 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 26.
For now, the mystery remains: they haven’t revealed which figures we’ll see floating, so we can expect plenty of surprises.
