Starting Friday, June 19, you’ll be able to see the “Global Rainbow” installation at the Monument to the Revolution. It’s a work by American artist Yvette Mattern that can be seen from several kilometers away.
This installation consists of seven lasers of different colors, forming a rainbow. It’s a nighttime show that has been presented in various countries around the world for nearly 20 years. Did you get to see it last year in Mexico City?

According to information shared on the official accounts of the Mexico City Ministry of Tourism, you’ll be able to see this installation from Friday, June 19, through Monday, June 29, 2026. It will be projected every day, including the weekend.
It will be on from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. As we mentioned, the lights can be seen from 2 km away. You’ll even be able to see it from the Zócalo plaza in Mexico City. Don’t forget that we’re in the middle of the rainy season, so if you head out to see it, be sure to bring a raincoat and an umbrella.
The installation will be set up in celebration of Pride 2026. It’s worth noting that we were able to see it in Mexico City in June 2025. Here’s a glimpse of what it looked like last year. Mark the date and time on your calendar so you don’t miss it. Keep in mind that it will be on display for less than two weeks.
