Have you dusted off your platform boots and black eyeliner yet? If your favorite color is “total darkness,” you have a must-attend event in northern Mexico City. This festival dedicated to the gothic world is coming to the Futurama Cultural Center to celebrate Goth World Day with a day that promises to be unforgettable.
A lineup from beyond the grave
It’s not all melancholy; the program is packed with movement and expression:
- Arts and Letters: A themed exhibition and literary presentations for those seeking depth in words.
- On stage: Dance and performance presentations that explore the aesthetics of the dark.
- Rhythms of the Underworld: Live music to set the mood for the afternoon.
The “Dark Market”
If collecting is your thing or you’re looking for that unique accessory you can’t find at the mall, the event will feature a dark market. It will be the ideal place to find alternative offerings, designer pieces, and accessories that scream “dark.”
When and where?
The event takes place on May 23 starting at 12:00 p.m. Best of all, admission is free, so there’s no excuse not to head to the Lindavista neighborhood (Otavalo 7, corner of Av. IPN) and immerse yourself in an experience where the gothic aesthetic takes center stage.
Get your outfit ready and don’t miss this gothic festival at the Futurama Cultural Center—see you there!
