One of Mexico’s most popular festivals is here to surprise us; it’s a festival celebrating Oaxaca inspired by the Guelaguetza, where we’ll experience a weekend full of color, history, and tradition.
The event, called En Oaxacate Iztapalapa 2026, will take place from June 19 to 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Macro Plaza in front of City Hall.
Here you can experience a little bit of the culture and traditions of Oaxaca’s eight regions through their crafts, cuisine, music, and dance. Plus, it’s the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day (which is this Sunday) with a truly unique outing.

Friday, June 19
- 12:00 p.m. – Opening of the “En Oaxacate” exhibition
