In July of every year the Guelaguetza is celebrated. It is a traditional Oaxacan festival whose name means fulfillment, present or offering. If you don’t have the chance to travel, don’t worry, because we will have a taste of this event in Mexico City. The best part is that it will last several days.
When will Guelaguetza 2025 be celebrated in Azcapotzalco?
We will have a weekend full of music and traditions! The Guelaguetza will be held in this Mexico City municipality from June 19 to 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.
On this occasion it will be held at Jardín Hidalgo ( 16 de Septiembre Street, downtown Azcapotzalco). The program has not yet been announced; however, it is anticipated that there will be artistic and cultural activities such as dance.
In addition, you will be able to taste different typical Oaxacan dishes. There will even be handicrafts for sale. Throughout the event you will not only discover more about the Guelaguetza, but also about the culture and traditions of the state of Mexico. Take advantage of the weekend to go to this event.
