If you’ve ever dreamed of traveling back to the Middle Ages, this plan is for you. The Medieval Festival at Hacienda Tovares will transform this impressive venue in Querétaro into an authentic setting of castles, knights, and Vikings.
For two days, visitors of all ages will be able to immerse themselves in an atmosphere full of history, shows, and tradition. There will be horseback jousting, medieval combat, court dances, and folk music with bagpipes, creating an experience worthy of a medieval fair.
The event is organized by Mundo Medieval México, known for recreating historical shows with costumes, combat, and traditions inspired by the Middle Ages.
Among the activities you can see are Viking battles, falconry exhibitions, combat tournaments, and the parade of the seven kingdoms, one of the most striking moments of the festival.
A medieval journey with a market, food, and nighttime shows.
In addition to the shows, the festival will feature a medieval market with crafts inspired by Viking and medieval culture, perfect for taking home a souvenir of this experience.
You will also find taverns and themed food stalls, where you can try dishes inspired by the period, as well as mead and craft drinks.
One of the most special moments comes at nightfall, when torchlight tours and night shows are held, creating a magical atmosphere within the hacienda.
If you want to live the full experience, you can even camp or stay at Hacienda Tovares, which will allow you to enjoy all the festival’s activities.
This weekend plan is ideal for families, friends, or couples, especially if you like historical events, medieval fantasy, or are simply looking for a different getaway close to the city.
