Do you feel like the asphalt is asking you for a break? Imagine a plan where the goal is to select the freshest foods to bring to your table, feeling a direct connection to the origin of your food. It’s an opportunity for children to discover where vegetables come from and for adults to reconnect with nature. Discover Rancho Revolución.
This getaway doesn’t require a long trip. Less than two hours from Mexico City, in the climate of Cuautla, Morelos, is Rancho Revolución. This project invites you to become a farmer for a day and reconnect with nature. Pack your basket and let’s head to the countryside.
With Hands in the Earth: This is Rancho Revolución

This is a project that seeks to bring us closer to the countryside in a fun and educational way. The idea is simple: you walk through the fields yourself and choose the fruits and vegetables you like best with a basket. Don’t worry about a thing because they’ll explain how to harvest each product so as not to damage it and ensure you get the best of the crop.
The star product of the season is strawberries. They will teach you how to identify those that are perfectly ripe: red, shiny, and ready to enjoy. But the activity doesn’t end there. Depending on the season, you can dig up your own carrots or cut the leaves of different varieties of lettuce. The best part is that you only pay for what you harvest; at the end of the tour, the staff weighs your produce and packs it up for you to take home.
Flavors from the Garden to the Table
After a morning of harvesting, you’re sure to work up an appetite. The ranch has a restaurant where you can try dishes made with the same freshly picked ingredients. The menu is a tribute to country cooking, with authentic flavors. Don’t miss their strawberry water, a surprisingly refreshing drink.
If you plan your visit on a Saturday or Sunday, take advantage of their buffet, available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for $260 per person. To get there, just type “Rancho Revolución” into Google Maps; it is located on the Cuautla-Hospital highway, Cuautla, Morelos.
This ranch is open Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Before you go, you can send a message via WhatsApp to check out the products of the week: 735 105 2299.
