To mark the end of the exhibition *Gāthā: Stories of India Through Its Dolls*, an incredible fashion show featuring traditional Indian costumes has been organized in Mexico City’s Historic Center. This event is an excellent opportunity to explore the rich textile and cultural heritage of this Asian country.
The National Museum of World Cultures, in collaboration with the Gurudev Tagore Indian Cultural Center and the Indian Embassy in Mexico, has organized two special events with free admission.
The first is the lecture “Chikankari and Zardozi: A Brief Introduction to Two Indian Embroidery Techniques,” which will take place on Thursday, September 3, at 4:30 p.m.
The second event will bring the exhibition to a spectacular close. It is a tabla and sitar concert featuring musicians Jordi Márquez and Francisco Bringas.
In addition, there will be an exhibition of Indian saris, which are traditional garments worn by women in India. This exhibition will take place on Thursday, September 10, at 4:00 p.m.
Both events will take place in the Eusebio Dávalos Hall at the venue located at Moneda 13.
