From tickets and pennants from various World Cups to a 360° screen. The International Soccer Hall of Fame is a space that pays tribute to players who have left their mark on soccer throughout history. And it currently features a video mapping show!
This place stands out because it’s housed in a building shaped like a soccer ball. It has three floors where you’ll see everything from photographs and trophies to historical artifacts. You’ll even find iconic jerseys, cleats, soccer balls, and medals. Although the space is small, it’s full of history.
It was inaugurated on July 9, 2011, and each year it honors different players, coaches, and executives who have left their mark on the sport. As we mentioned, the building is shaped like a soccer ball and was designed by architect Ricardo Calderón. The structure is 38 meters tall.
In addition to everything you’ll see inside, you should know that it currently features a video-mapping show called “Pachuca: Wind, Soccer, and a Heart of Silver, ” during which this soccer-ball-shaped building is filled with light, color, and music. It will be shown on July 1, 2, 9, 11, 15, 16, and 19. There will be two showtimes: 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
