Ready to welcome fall? In September, you can experience one of the Japanese traditions related to moon viewing. The Japanese Bazarcito will host a special edition inspired by Tsukimi, with free admission and various activities and products related to Japanese culture.
Mark your calendar! The event will take place on September 19 and 20, so you’ll have two days to check it out. The event will be held at Fujiyama 144, Colonia Las Águilas, Mexico City, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
What will you find at the Tsukimi Japanese Bazaar?
If you like Japanese culture, make room in your schedule because there will be a little bit of everything. The event features Japanese cuisine, as well as fashion and accessories, kawaii stationery, decorative items, and collectibles.
You’ll also find study resources tailored for those learning Japanese, so the bazaar won’t be limited to just food and shopping.
Among the announced activities are workshops and yukata rentals—the traditional Japanese garment typically worn during festivals and other celebrations.
An edition inspired by moon gazing
This edition is named after Tsukimi, a Japanese tradition related to moon gazing. The theme coincides with September and the start of fall, making it a great opportunity to learn about some aspects of this celebration as you browse the various booths.
The best part for your wallet is that admission to the Japanese Bazarcito will be free. Just keep in mind: you’ll need to register in advance.
If you plan to attend, keep this requirement in mind before you arrive, especially since the event will take place only during that weekend in September.
