If you have spent the last few weeks living in a cave and you still don’t know about this film, we’ll tell you about it. The outrage generated by the French film Emilia Perez and the multiple awards it has garnered, grew after its 13 Oscar nominations.
In response, trans activist Camila D. Aurora decided to create the film Johanne Sacreblu, which in just two weeks exceeded 2.5 million views on YouTube.
The total length of the short film is 29 minutes and its basis is to reproduce some of the most widespread stereotypes about France and its culture.
Thus, in this story about a trans woman who returns to Paris after living in Mexico, we will see a lot of mimes, people wearing mostly black and white striped t-shirts and berets, or many rats.
