On October 26, an exhibition inspired by José Guadalupe Posada opened at the Complejo Cultural Los Pinos. You will see engravings, lithography, serigraphy and more; plus, you will discover more about the work of cartoonist Gonzalo Rocha. Admission is free.
José Guadalupe Posada was a Mexican illustrator and caricaturist. Among his extensive artistic work, the creation of the Catrina stands out. This exhibition seeks to pay homage to his work.
When can I visit the exhibition inspired by José Guadalupe Posada?
The exhibition opened on October 26 and will remain open until December 31, 2024. So you still have a couple of months to see it. You will find it in Cabin 1 of the Los Pinos Cultural Complex (Calzada del Rey S/N, first section of Chapultepec Forest, in the municipality of Miguel Hidalgo).
In this exhibition you will see part of Gonzalo Rocha‘s work. You will find different pieces of lithography and even serigraphy and engraving.
In addition, on Saturday, November 2, Rocha’s graphic novel, which bears the same name as the exhibition, will be presented. The appointment is at 12:00 noon in Cabaña 1. Both this presentation and the exhibition are free admission.
