The new José José exhibition in Mexico City has opened its doors! At this exhibition, you’ll see costumes, albums, photographs, and even a hologram of “The Prince of Song.” Admission is free.
The exhibition, titled “The Universe of José José,” brings together various items from a private collection. We’ll see costumes, albums, and much more. According to information from the Azcapotzalco City Hall, the exhibition will feature a hologram of José José.
Where is the José José exhibition in Mexico City?
The “Prince of Song” exhibition is located at the Azcapotzalco House of Culture. Although the venue had previously hosted a José José exhibition, it was noted that this new exhibition is different from the previous one.
You can visit it Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the tour, you’ll learn more about the life and artistic career of this singer, who is originally from Azcapotzalco. The exhibition is expected to run at least until September 28; however, the possibility of extending it further has not been ruled out.
It’s worth noting that the exhibition is part of a series of events dedicated to José José, which includes other activities. For example, on Saturdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., singers will gather at Parque de la China to perform songs by “The Prince of Song”; in addition, there is a permanent tour called “La nave del olvido” (The Ship of Oblivion), which will take you on a journey through iconic areas of the Clavería neighborhood.
All of these experiences aim to pay tribute to José José, one of Mexico’s most iconic singers.
