At the end of January 2026, and for two weeks, one of the sweetest gastronomic events in CDMX will take place: the Fair of Joy and the Olive Tree!
From January 31 to February 15, producers and families dedicated to the elaboration of products with amaranth and olive will gather: joys, typical sweets and oils are some of the delicacies you will find to taste and, of course, take home.
As every year, the fair will take place in Plaza Quirino Mendoza, located in Santiago Tulyehualco, in the municipality of Xochimilco.
Remember that this town is rich in the cultivation of these ingredients and many of its inhabitants are dedicated to their production and sale; not only will you taste something delicious, but you will also support local commerce.
This is a good excuse to pinch your savings, as there will also be handicrafts for sale. You’re sure to find a nice detail to surprise on Valentine’s Day! 💘
The Feria de la Alegría y el Olivo will celebrate its 53rd edition in CDMX: it will go all out and not only with delicious products, but also with artistic presentations and cultural activities.
The program will be announced at a later date, so stay tuned to the event’s social networks.
Admission to the event has not yet been specified; however, this fair has been free admission in previous editions. Don’t miss it!
